Ride through depends upon the inertia of the load, control wiring, power wiring and drive settings.
When IPL (Input Phase Loss) is disabled and StP (Controlled Stop) is set to MMS, the DC Bus is kept energized by the kinetic energy from load inertia until USF(Undervoltage fault occurs).
Additionally, if Atr (autorestart) is set to YES, two-wire control (tCt) with level detection (LEL) is set and power is lost to the drive for longer time periods and then restored, the drive will restart if the run command is present.
Typically, the limiting factors for ride through are electromechanical relays and contactors rather than the drives. The DC bus capacitors used in AC drives allow the control voltage to remain present much longer than loss of AC line voltage. Relays and contactors tend to open quickly on loss of power.
