What are the main differences between the melting alloy and Motor Logic solid state overload relays?

The melting alloy type overload relays require the selection of thermal units, have relatively tight trip current ranges, are ambient sensitive and provide manual reset only. The Motor Logic solid state overload relays offer adjustable trip current ranges without the requirement of thermal unit selection, provide adjustable 3:1 trip current ranges, phase loss phase imbalance protection and Class II ground fault detection (Feature Base Only). The Motor Logic overloads also are ambient insensitive and are supplied with a sealable cover over the trip current adjustment dial.
