Honda EU6500IS generator type and wiring diagram
Customers and installers may need assistance installing this unit and getting it to remotely start using the XW AGS; this document will guide the customer or installer to do so.

The Honda generator has a remote plug on the battery compartment that can be used to wire the XW AGS.
Refer to the generator diagram.

This image shows the wiring diagram, and an exploded section for the remote start block

This diagram can be found on the Owners manual for the Honda generator page 75.

The XW AGS will use dry relay contacts to duplicate the switching action of the remote switch.

Notice that the image only shows four pins on the plug. The center pins are not used and have no pins at all.

Furthermore, all the information above only tells us what the generator remote start plug gives us to work with, now all we need to do is figure out what type of generator the Honda EU6500IS is and which relay configuration it takes in order to start the generator. The following image will show that the unit is a Type 10 and how it should be wired.

Please note that the wires 16 and 18 are connected together, this connection is NOT made internally in the AGS and needs to be done by the installer before attempting to run the generator through the AGS.
