Ask a Question

Does and E-flex system require an external run command when the Hand/Off/Auto Switch is in the Hand position?

Issue:
Does and E-flex system require an external run command when the Hand/Off/Auto or Hand/Off/Com Switch is in the Hand position?

Product Line:
E-flex enclosed systems.

Environment:
All models equipped with Hand/Off/Auto or Hand/Off/Com switches.

Cause:
How does the E-flex system operate when in Hand mode?

Resolution:
In units that are not equipped with external Start/Stop switches on the cabinet door, the drive should start and run as soon as the Hand/Off/Auto switch is placed in Hand mode, as long as the AFC/OFF/BYPASS switch is in AFC mode AND the Test/Normal switch is in Normal position.

If the Test/Normal switch is in Test position, the drive will run normally but no power will be sent to the motor.
If the AFC/OFF/Bypass switch is in Bypass mode, the motor will be powered through the bypass contactor when the Hand/Off/Auto switch is placed in Hand position.

For units equipped with external Start/Stop switches on the face of the cabinet (Mods B07 or D07) the Start button must be pressed after the Hand/Off/Auto switch is placed in the hand position to start the motor.
