What is a PVGFP?

A Ground Fault Protection (GFP) is a circuit protection device that prevents the flow of electrical current to earth if a short circuit is present.

PV Ground Fault Protection (PVGFP) breakers disconnect the solar array if a ground fault occurs in the wiring. These breakers can be ordered in one through four pole configurations. The PVGFP works with 12, 24 and 48 VDC systems with or without batteries.
