GT ConfigLite - No Communication

Since GT ConfigLite only has two ports to select from, it may be necessary to make sure the port access of your computer is set to COM1 or COM2. If there is an RS232 (DB9) connector on the computer, there should be no connectivity problem. If the computer does not have a DB9 port, you must use an RS232-to-USB adapter which may default to a COM port other than 1 or 2. To change port settings, it is necessary to follow this procedure :


 


Click START > CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM > HARDWARE > DEVICE MANAGER


Then expand PORTS (COM & LPT)


Right click on the device (usually the brand of USB adapter)


Select PROPERTIES > PORT SETTINGS > ADVANCED


Then change the port to COM1 or COM2
