How can I find the IP address for my Conext ComBox?

Issue:
How can I find the IP address for my Conext ComBox?

Product Line:
Conext ComBox

Environment:
New ComBox installation

Resolution:
The simplest way to find the ComBox's IP address is to insert a compatible USB thumb drive into the HOST port on the ComBox. The Memory LED will flash five times, and an html file will be written to the ComBox with information including the IP address.

Alternatively, you can use the Device Locator Software linked below:

If you have neither a CD reader nor a compatible thumb drive, and the above solutions won't work for you, then the solution would be to go into the router's main menu and find the connected devices list (may also be called "LAN computers", i.e. D-Link router).
Usually it would look something like this:

*please note that this is a stock picture, and not every router will look the same.

The ComBox may appear as an unknown device.
If the router sees multiple unknown devices, you can unplug the ComBox and see on the device list which IP address drops off. That unknown device would be the ComBox.

Cause:
Customer is trying to find the IP address for the ComBox, and may not have either a CD reader nor a compatible USB thumb drive
