Gateway Email Server

IMPORTANT : NOT APPLICABLE TO COMBOX 865-1058


Here are the instructions which can be used for customers who cannot get Gateway email through their own Internet Service Provider :

 

 

1) Open the Gateway configuration web page.

2) Click on the Upgrade tab.

 

3) If the WiPort Firmware Version is 1.x, do the following:

 

>Click on the Mail Configuration tab.

>Enter the following information in the Mail Server text box:

gateway.xantrex.com:8088

>Click on the Save button.

>Wait until the save activity icon stops.

>Send a test email using one of the Send Email buttons.

>Wait a minute and then check for new email using your email browser.

 

4) If the WiPort Firmware Version is 2.x, do the following:

 

>Click on the Mail tab.

>Enter the following information in the Mail Server text box:

gateway.xantrex.com

>Enter the following information into the Mail Server Port text box:

8088

>Click on the Submit button.

>Wait until the mouse pointer changes back from a busy cursor, which is usually an hourglass.

>Pick a test message from the Message type pull down menu.

>Send a test email using the Send button.

>Wait a minute and then check for new email using your email browser.
