WIll the motor or terminal strips on the output side of a drive affect the SCCR rating of the drive?

Issue:
WIll the motor or terminal strips on the output side of a drive affect the SCCR rating of the drive?

Product Line:
Altivar Variable Frequency Drives

Environment:
All Altivar drive products.

Cause:
Information not available in current literature.

Resolution:
No.  The SCCR annex is an input current rating.  Terminal strips, disconnect switches, contactors, or other approved equipment connected to the output of the drive will not affect the input SCCR rating of the drive itself.  Note that the Altivar drive is not approved as a current limiting device and therefore, the overall SCCR rating of the panel the drive is installed in will be the SCCR rating of the lowest rated device in the panel.
