How should I size my generator for use with XW+NA or CSW+NA?

Typically you want the generator to start when the batteries get low. This means you need enough generator power to charge the batteries AND support whatever loads are turned on during that time period. We usually recommend 2 times the inverter watts for sizing the generator. You will need to calculate how many minimum watts of power is needed by AC loads, and how many watts minimum are needed to get the batteries charged in a reasonable time frame and that will be the generator minimum watts. Also size the conductors for <5% voltage drop for distance from generator to inverter/charger.
