What can cause an SCF1 on the ATV32 drives?

Issue:
What can cause an SCF1 on the ATV32 drives?

Product Line:
Altivar ATV32

Environment:
All

Cause:
ATV32 is tripping on SCF1 when they try and run the motor.

Resolution:
SCF1= Motor short circuit

Remedy to try=
-Check cables going to the drive and the motor insulation.
-Try reducing the switching frequency.
-Try connecting a Line reactor in series with the input of the drive.
-Check the adjustment of the speed loop and brake.
-Try increasing the switching frequency

You can also ways disconnect the motor and turn off the OPL ( output phase loss protection)  and run the drive open circuit without the motor at 20 hz 40 hz and 60 hz.
