Ask a Question

How do I calibrate the Analog Output (FM) on the ATV212 drive.

Issue:
ATV212, Altivar 212, calibrate, analog outpuCalibration of the analog output

Product Line:
ATV212

Environment:
All models and serial numbers.

Cause:
None

Resolution:
When using voltage (0-10v) connect your load prior to calibration.  When using current (4-20mA) connect the load after calibration.

If you want to follow OUTPUT CURRENT (FNSL = 1)
4-20ma
  1. Set switch FN (SW2) to “I” (down)
  2. Set F692 for 20% (20% of 4-20ma =20%)
  3. Set FNSL TO 15 (Fixed 50%)
  4. Go to parameter FM
  5. Connect the current meter to terminals FN and CC
  6. Press the UP and DOWN arrows until meter reads desired 100% (20ma)
  7. Press enter
  8. Set FNSL back to the analog output function you want to follow.
0-10v (connect the load)
  1. Set switch FN (SW2) to “V” (up)
  2. Set F692 to 0% (0% of 0-10v = 0%)
  3. Set FNSL to 15
  4. Go to parameter FN
  5. Connect the volt meter to terminals FN and CC
  6. Press the UP and DOWN adjust FM until the volt meter reads 100% (10V)
  7. Press enter
  8. Set FNSL back to the analog output function you want to follow.
ALL OTHER analog output functions (FNSL = 0,2,3 – 18)
4-20ma
  1. Set switch FN (SW2) to “I” (down)
  2. Set F692 for 20% (20% of 20ma = 4mA)
  3. Set FNSL to 17
  4. Go to the FM parameter
  5. Connect the current meter to terminals CC and FM
  6. Press enter at parameter FN (should see 100)
  7. Using the up arrow key adjust FN until the Current meter reads desired 20 (20ma)
  8. Press enter
  9. Set FNSL back to the analog output function you want to follow.
0-10v (connect the load)
  1. Set switch FN (SW2) to “V” (up)
  2. Set F692 to 0 (0% of 0-10v = 0%)
  3. Set FNSL to 17 (the drive will disconnect the volt meter)
  4. Go to the FM parameter
  5. Connect the meter between terminals CC and FM
  6. Go to parameter FN
  7. Using the up arrow key adjust FN until the volt meter reads 100% (10V)
  8. Press enter
  9. Set FNSL back to the analog output function you want to follow.
