What is the operating temperature range for the NQ, NF, I-line, and QMB panelboards

Issue:
What is the operating temperature range for the NQ, NF, I-line, and QMB panelboards

Product Line:
Panelboards

Environment:
NQ, NF, I-line, QMB

Cause:
Operating temperature ranges for panelboards

Resolution:
Square D panelboards are designed to operate within an ambient of +10 -  +40 degrees Celsius (50 - 104 degrees Fahrenheit). This means that any temperature below 10 degrees C will dictate the need for panelboard space heaters (with thermostat), and any temperature above 40 degrees C would require the equipment to be placed into a temperature controlled space to ensure the 40 degree C maximum temperature is not exceeded. Additionally if the panelboard interior is installed into any of our  WP enclosures and it is placed where direct sunlight can hit it when the ambient temperature approaches 80 degrees F the Consulting Engineer for the project would need to analysis the solar affect which could easily result in the need to place the panelboard into a temperature controlled space to maintain the required ambient within the 10 - 40 degree C temperature range.
