How does phase protection on Micrologic 5.0P and 6.0P trip units work?

Product Line:
Masterpact and Powerpact P and R Breakers with Micrologic trip units

Note that this function cannot trip the breaker directly but will send an alarm to M2C or M6C programmable contacts.
To trip the breaker you would have to use the programmed contact to pass power through to a shunt trip coil in the breaker.

To test, or ensure the protective function works, you can set it for the opposite rotation and it should send an alarm.
For example, if your rotation is ABC, set it for ACB and it should alarm.
Then set it for the rotation your system has.
