Ask a Question

What does the ``G`` suffix stand for?

Issue:
What does the suffix G mean on legacy circuit breaker catalog numbers?

Product Line:
MCCB

Environment:
Legacy circuit breakers such as LX, MX, NX and PX frames

Cause:
Selection and cross reference

Resolution:
It depends on the breaker. On a thermal-magnetic breaker it stands for ``Ground-fault shunt trip`` for use with GFM or obsolete GP system.
On a Series B Micrologic standard function breaker, for example, MX36800G, it stands for ``Ground-fault protection.``
