What is an RCCB circuit breaker?

Issue:
What is the difference between an RCCB and RCBO breaker?

Product Line:
DIN rail mounted circuit breakers

Environment:
Multi 9 and Acti 9 type breakers

Resolution:
RCCB stands for Residual Current Circuit Breaker, however it is a switch (no thermal-magnetic overcurrent protection) with ground-fault protection.  By contrast, an RCBO is more like our GFI breaker with thermal-magnetic protection in addition to ground-fault protection.  ``Residual`` simply means ground current.  They are IEC rated (not UL), so their use is only for OEMs who want these product features and don`t need UL listing on the devices.
