Why is the minimum wire size AWG for the ATV340D45N4 drive is 1/0? Is 2 AWG permissible on the Output Terminals?

Resolution:
The maximum wire cross section provided in the drive user manual corresponds to the maximum mechanical capability of power terminals. Whereas the minimum wire cross section provided corresponds to the minimum wire cross section to be in accordance thermally with different drive certifications like the UL standard.
Drives have been tested and validated with the minimum wire cross section to be sure the external insulation wire temperature will not exceed 70°C as required by UL standard. So it can work mechanically if you use a wire cross section below our recommendations but in this case you are out of the UL standard requirements.
Another element to take into account in the wire sizing is the maximum output transient current (150% of drive nominal current during 60s): 132A in Normal Duty and 127.2A in Heavy Duty.
